ORDERSPLACING AN ORDER
By placing an order with us you agree to and accept these Terms. If you are unhappy with or unclear about any aspect of these terms, please contact one of our Customer Support Team before placing an order with us either by telephone on 0330 433 9899, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by post using the address given above.
By placing an order via this Website, you are making an offer to RŪMA to purchase the goods detailed in your order upon the terms described in your order.
Once you have placed an order for goods (and delivery, if applicable) we will send you confirmation that your order has been received but this is not a confirmation that your offer to purchase the goods (or for them to be delivered) has been accepted. A contract between you and RŪMA for the sale and delivery of our goods will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and despatched to you. We will take payment from your credit/debit/PayPal account at the time you place your order.
Prices and availability of goods are subject to change without notice.
Please note that a delivery charge will be added to your order value where appropriate. See Delivery page for more information.
All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change. RŪMA cannot accept liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) if delivery takes place at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.
Ownership, title and risk of the goods will pass to you when the goods are placed at your disposal at our UK premises. Prices are inclusive of UK VAT at the applicable rate.
CONFORMITY OF GOODS
We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of going to press. However, specifications and descriptions of products on this Website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the products. Furthermore, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used to view the products.
We endeavour to display all items currently available on our website, and aim to hold stock of all styles and sizes while a product is active. Occasionally, an item will be out of stock. If this is the case and we expect more stock to become available, this will be highlighted in your shopping basket. The stock status for your order will also be shown on your order confirmation. If the item is available to purchase on back order, we will provide a promise date for expected delivery. However, if a product is truly out of stock, you will not be able to add it to your shopping basket.
YOUR LEGAL RIGHT TO CANCEL
You have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund. These rights, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, are explained in more detail below:
To meet the cancellation deadline, you must notify us by post, email or telephone that you wish to exercise your right to cancel before the cancellation period (14 days from receipt of goods) has expired. Where applicable, please keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records.
If the products have already been dispatched to you or you have already received them, you must return them to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of your order to us. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the products to us.
If you are exercising your right to change your mind and cancel the contract, you will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the products and any applicable delivery charges to the credit or debit card, or other payment method you used to pay. We will process the refund without delay and, in any event, not later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any products supplied. If you are exercising your right to change your mind:
- We may reduce your refund of the price (excluding delivery costs) to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a shop. If we refund you the price paid before we are able to inspect the goods and later discover you have handled them in an unacceptable way, you must pay us the appropriate amount.
- The maximum refund for delivery costs will be the costs of delivery by the least expensive delivery method we offer. For example, if we offer delivery of a product within three to five days at one cost, but you choose to have the product delivered within 24 hours at a higher cost, then we will only refund what you would have paid for the cheaper delivery option.
If you are not entirely happy with the goods that you have chosen you may return them to us within 30 days of receipt in accordance with our returns policy. Our returns policy applies in addition to your legal right to cancel above and does not affect your legal rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed products.
If you return any products in accordance with our returns policy, we will be happy to offer you an exchange or, if you wish, a refund provided that the products are returned complete, in perfect condition, unused, unwashed and with the original packaging. Return of an item is at your own cost unless the item is faulty. For further details please visit our Returns & Refunds page.

WASTE ELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE (WEEE)
What is WEEE?
Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) is regulated to reduce the amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) incinerated or sent to landfill sites.
Reduction is achieved through various measures which encourage the recovery, reuse and recycling of products and components.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013 (as amended) is the underpinning UK legislation.
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK's fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination - harming wildlife and also human health.
Rūma wants to promote recycling (and it’s easy)
In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back Scheme (DTS). To find more information on WEEE recycling and to locate your nearest recycling centre please visit www.recycle-more.co.uk and type in your postcode.
